Senior Scientist II, Data Solutions (RWE & Insights)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally

Salary: $140,000–$210,000 per year for Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco; compensation may vary by location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and expand partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies while driving revenue for the Data Solutions product line.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer research pipelines, commercial objectives, and scientific priorities.
• Use a consultative approach to design targeted solutions that apply Tempus products and data to clients’ R&D and commercial programs.
• Create scientific strategies and reports, communicate technical plans and outcomes, and act as a trusted scientific advisor.
• Coordinate with account, alliance management, and operations teams to manage opportunities, grow accounts, and track strategic and revenue objectives.
• Provide client feedback to support the development of the Life Sciences portfolio and stay current on pharmaceutical regulations, policies, and industry priorities.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD-level education combining quantitative or computational skills with biological or medical knowledge, or at least 2 years of relevant postgraduate experience.
• Computational experience with SQL, Python, and R, including statistical and visualization tools.
• Experience with clinical trial design and/or real-world evidence datasets.
• Experience modeling multimodal clinical and/or omics data using integrative methods.
• Deep knowledge of drug discovery, translational research, computational biology, or real-world evidence methodologies, especially in oncology.
• Ability to build relationships with pharmaceutical stakeholders, manage accounts, and navigate cross-functional groups to solve complex problems.

Nice to have

• Experience in data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, immunology, public health, or related fields.
• Experience working in agile environments with rapid iterations.
