MI Solutions Architect I (Manufacturing Intelligence)

What you will do

• Design scalable, secure, testable, and maintainable technical architectures from business and functional requirements.
• Create architecture diagrams, system designs, data flows, interface specifications, and integration strategies.
• Design integrations connecting Manufacturing Intelligence platforms with ERP, MES, SCADA, PLC, historian, database, cloud, and industrial systems.
• Define secure communication approaches using REST APIs, MQTT, OPC UA, and other applicable protocols.
• Lead technical design activities, provide architectural direction, and guide implementation, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain architecture standards and documentation while supporting cybersecurity, CI/CD, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Approximately eight or more years of relevant professional experience, including technical architecture design.
• Strong knowledge of software design, system integration, data architecture, cloud platforms, databases, manufacturing environments, and industrial systems.
• Experience with integrations involving ERP systems, SCADA platforms, PLCs, historians, MES applications, databases, and cloud environments.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives, communicate risks and tradeoffs, lead technical design, and guide delivery teams.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ignition, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Azure, Docker, GitHub, Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and industrial networking technologies.
