Principal Observability Automation Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Translate ambiguous business needs into architected, detectable, and automatable systems from prototype through production.
• Extend the cloud-hosted agentic AI platform, including locally hosted models, for observability and automated issue detection.
• Architect and implement 24/7, cross-region-resilient observability and automation frameworks across AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, and on-premises environments.
• Build full-stack applications and RESTful APIs for automated data collection, correlation, visualization, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Modernize legacy access and operations pathways into secure, controlled, self-service tooling, while owning CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
• Mentor engineers, lead cross-functional technical initiatives, and provide light event-driven on-call support for owned systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in C# or Go and scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and SQL/NoSQL databases including MS SQL Server and Postgres.
• Experience with Grafana, Splunk, CI/CD, Docker, orchestration, Terraform, Linux, and Windows Server administration.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects, influence cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively.
• Fluent written and oral English required. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
