Lead Anti-Cheat Specialist (Anti-Cheat)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; hybrid with predominantly remote work, but onsite attendance is required as needed. Applicants must be based within comfortable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Lead, line manage, coach, and develop the Anti-Cheat team.
• Translate Player Trust and company strategy into operational priorities, sequencing work and allocating resources.
• Monitor KPIs, trends, and anomalies to identify emerging threats and improve investigations.
• Lead investigations into cheating, exploits, and unfair player behaviour, including bans, unbans, and appeal reviews.
• Collaborate with game, data, and engineering teams to improve detection and enforcement solutions.
• Coordinate shift scheduling and operational coverage, including a weekend rota approximately once a month.

Requirements

• Experience leading or line managing a team, including delegation, feedback, and development support.
• Significant experience in anti-cheat, Trust and Safety, fraud prevention, abuse detection, security investigations, or a comparable operational environment.
• Strong data literacy, sound judgement, and confidence making decisions with incomplete or inconclusive evidence.
• Solid Excel skills; SQL is strongly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of online games and live-service environments, with MMO experience advantageous.
• Permanent right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with MMOs such as RuneScape, World of Warcraft, or Final Fantasy XIV.
• Python and Zendesk familiarity.
