Expert Engineer, Security - Central Technology (Anti-Cheat)

Location: Vancouver, Canada

Salary: 115,060–227,010 CAD annual base pay; incentive compensation may also be available.

What you will do

• Design and implement advanced anti-cheat technologies for game clients.
• Analyze, update, and enhance protection frameworks against emerging threats.
• Investigate, develop, and deploy cheat detection mechanisms.
• Collaborate with engineers across studios to integrate security systems and maintain performance.
• Apply debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning techniques to complex systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex systems and in engineering organizations focused on CI/CD, scalability, and automation.
• Deep familiarity with C++ codebases, refactoring, compilation, linking, and toolchains.
• Advanced knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience debugging compiled code at the assembly level, with strong low-level systems skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiplayer game engine internals.
• Reverse engineering and software analysis experience.
• DevOps experience.
• Background in mathematics or cryptography.
• Hands-on experience in the anti-cheat domain.
