Expert Engineer, Security - Central Technology (Anti-Cheat)

Annual base pay range: $115,060–$227,010 CAD for new hires in British Columbia, Canada. Incentive compensation may also be available but is not guaranteed.

What you will do

• Design and implement advanced anti-cheat technologies for Call of Duty game clients.
• Analyze, update, and enhance protection frameworks against emerging threats.
• Investigate, develop, and deploy cheat-detection mechanisms.
• Debug, optimize, and performance-tune security and game-client systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple studios to integrate security systems and maintain performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience and experience with large-scale complex systems.
• Deep familiarity with C++ codebases, refactoring, compilation, linking, and toolchains.
• Expertise in debugging, optimization, performance tuning, and advanced algorithms and data structures.
• Experience in an engineering organization focused on CI/CD, scalability, and automation.
• Comfort reading and debugging compiled code at the assembly level, with strong low-level systems skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiplayer game-engine internals or reverse-engineering software analysis.
• DevOps experience.
• Background in mathematics or cryptography.
• Hands-on anti-cheat experience.
