Europe Communications Manager (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany, in a hybrid capacity

Canva is a global design platform whose communications function develops narratives for customers, employees, investors, regulators, and the media.

What you will do

• Lead communications strategy across France, Germany, and Spain, covering product, technology, corporate, and consumer news.
• Build and manage relationships with reporters, editors, and industry influencers across European markets.
• Manage local agency partners, set direction, review work, and guide delivery.
• Develop thought leadership platforms for Canva leaders and prepare spokespeople for media interviews and events.
• Partner with sales, growth, and partnerships teams to align communications with business goals.
• Connect global and local narratives to ensure consistent and culturally relevant communications.

Requirements

• Proven communications experience across European markets, ideally France, Germany, and Spain.
• Experience securing top-tier media coverage and managing local agency partners.
• Strong media relations skills and an established journalist network.
• Experience developing integrated product, corporate, executive, and consumer communications strategies.
• Strong B2B and AI communications experience, including translating complex narratives into locally relevant stories.
• Excellent English communication skills and fluency in French, German, or Spanish; ability to work from Berlin in a hybrid capacity.
