Fraud Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote within Canada

Base pay: $101,000–$151,000 per year, plus potential equity, stipends, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop people leaders and Individual Contributors across multiple fraud operations teams and specialized pods.
• Set the operational strategy and roadmap for disputes, compliance, fraud risk, and process improvement.
• Manage productivity, quality, customer outcomes, service levels, and queue health through data-driven plans.
• Drive transformational changes that simplify investigator workflows and improve scalable efficiency.
• Align team objectives with broader business goals and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex merchant, user, and internal issues, and resolve risk events caused by process breakdowns.

Requirements

• 6+ years of direct experience in disputes, fraud risk prevention, and detection within fintech or technology.
• 5+ years of experience in fraud management or people management, including leadership of managers or senior Individual Contributors.
• Demonstrated success setting strategy and delivering large-scale operational change with measurable impact.
• Strong strategic planning, risk management, prioritization, executive communication, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Experience leading teams through major change and working effectively with ambiguity.
• Experience with AI-driven initiatives, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or data-driven methodologies; Python and SQL knowledge is a plus.
