Cyber Security Engineer (Cloud/SaaS)

What you will do

• Secure and govern cloud platforms, SaaS applications, APIs, AI-driven automation, agentic workflows, and machine identities.
• Protect SaaS integrations, service-to-service connections, automation pipelines, and cloud-connected operational workflows from misuse, misconfiguration, excessive privilege, and unauthorized access.
• Build and continuously improve centralized logging, telemetry integrations, log integrity, retention, and visibility across cloud, SaaS, enterprise, and security systems.
• Integrate cloud and SaaS telemetry with SIEM platforms, managed SOC providers, and approved monitoring solutions.
• Tune detection rules and alerting, support alert triage and investigations, and coordinate incident response and remediation with technical teams.
• Improve automation, detection maturity, AI governance, security standards, and repeatable controls that strengthen enterprise cyber resilience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, SaaS security, security operations, or related security engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience securing SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, and cloud-connected workflows in enterprise environments.
• Experience with centralized logging, SIEM integration, security monitoring, detection engineering, SOC operations, alert investigation, and incident response.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, SaaS security, API security, logging architecture, telemetry management, and AI-driven automation governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience is considered.
• Ability to collaborate across cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, data, and business teams and communicate technical risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-driven automation, agentic workflows, service accounts, and machine identities.
• Experience with control validation, security policy enforcement, and audits in regulated environments.
• Upstream oil and gas experience.
• CCSP, CISSP, GIAC, Azure/AWS security, or other cloud and security operations certifications.
