Senior DevOps Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Fully onsite in Denver, Colorado or Long Beach, California; candidates must be based in or able to commute to an office daily.

Base salary: $150,000–$225,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain CI/CD processes and deployment workflows.
• Deploy, scale, and manage applications on Kubernetes, including AKS and Helm, while balancing architecture, functionality, and cost.
• Design and manage secure cloud infrastructure primarily on Azure, with experience across other cloud platforms.
• Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform, including modules and state management.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance.
• Deploy applications into challenging customer environments and build secure Docker images for production flight environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 6 years of DevOps and cloud experience.
• Experience with Linux, containers, container orchestration, and production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, especially AKS and Helm, and Terraform best practices.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions and administering monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
• Experience with production-grade hybrid-cloud networking, TCP and HTTP(S), and scripting with Bash, Python, or another scripting language.
• Security and compliance knowledge in a DevOps context, plus Azure, AWS, or GCP certification. Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements under ITAR or obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with GovCloud environments, especially Azure.
• Background in the space, defense, or a similar industry.
• Experience with DoD compliance certifications such as CMMC or FedRAMP.
• Experience balancing startup delivery speed with mature flight-environment requirements.
