Senior Platform Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid. The role includes the option to work from abroad for up to six weeks each year.

What you will do

• Design and implement security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Secure containerized and Kubernetes deployments, Infrastructure as Code, service meshes, and zero-trust network architectures.
• Build secure CI/CD pipelines based on DevSecOps principles and develop cloud security monitoring and detection strategies.
• Secure AI-powered features, including context assembly, tool invocation, output handling, RAG implementations, and agentic solutions.
• Develop defenses against direct and indirect prompt injection, adversarial inputs, and sensitive-data risks across inference, retrieval, and fine-tuning.
• Lead incident response, threat modeling, risk assessments, security reviews, documentation, and collaboration with development, data science, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of information security experience, including at least 3 years specializing in cloud security.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience securing Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience securing AI/ML or LLM-based systems.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native, container, Kubernetes, network, identity, and access-control security, with experience in at least one major cloud provider.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, plus Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with CSPM, security automation and orchestration, AI/LLM security frameworks, and governance or compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with secure multi-tenant AI infrastructure and privacy-enhancing technologies such as differential privacy or federated learning.
• Open-source security contributions or public security research.
• Experience building security tools or automation frameworks.
