Cloud Security Architect (Fintech): Developing and enforcing reference architectures and blueprints for secure cloud adoption across Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments with an accent on secure-by-design principles. Location: Hybrid (Manchester). Must spend at least two days per week, or 40% of time, at one of the office sites.

What you will do

• Develop and enforce reference architectures, patterns, and blueprints for secure cloud adoption across Azure, GCP, and hybrid environments.
• Conduct threat modelling and security assessments to define preventative and detective security guardrails.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security early in the design phase.
• Review external architecture proposals to identify and mitigate security gaps.
• Document and uphold secure-by-design principles and architecture governance.
• Collaborate with senior partners to articulate security risks and required mitigations.

Requirements

• Expertise in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and risk-based decision-making.
• Broad cloud security knowledge across Azure and GCP, with SME experience in at least one area.
• Experience in AI/ML security, specifically applying controls for secure cloud deployment.
• Proficiency in Application Security and securing CI/CD software supply chains.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Security, including Kubernetes (AKS/GKE/Istio), API Security, and IaC (Terraform, ARM).
• Experience with Network Security, Zero Trust, firewalls, and DDoS protection.

Nice to have

• CISSP or CCSP certifications.
• Azure Security Engineer Associate or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
