Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML): Lead the development and deployment of production-grade AI, machine learning, software, and infrastructure systems for life sciences clients with an accent on technical scoping, architecture, and scalable deployment standards. Focus on designing robust cloud-native systems, solving critical healthcare challenges with cross-functional teams, and advising customers on actionable technical strategies.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working.

What you will do
- Lead technical scoping and architectural decisions for high-impact machine learning and software systems.
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML software, tools, and scalable infrastructure.
- Define and implement engineering standards for deploying machine learning at scale.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and commercial teams to solve client challenges.
- Advise customers and partners by translating complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the engineering culture and technical depth.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills in Python and at least one compiled or strongly typed language such as Go, Java, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Deep experience building robust, reusable, production-grade systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including architecture, security, and infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes for building and managing applications at scale.
- Ownership, autonomy, and the ability to drive projects to completion in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for guiding technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders.
