Focus on building curation automation, delivering production-ready customer-facing data products, and maintaining reliable workflows for large volumes of unstructured scientific data.

What you will do
- Maintain and develop critical Python data pipelines.
- Develop data solutions that integrate dynamic sources of scientific information and make them accessible to customers.
- Support curation teams in updating and creating vocabularies and ontologies.
- Build software and automations that assist manual curation efforts.
- Support the delivery and maintenance of customer-facing solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and teams across to identify and deliver new product opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in software development, ideally with Python.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in life sciences or a STEM field.
Nice to have
- Experience with pytest or unittest, code reviews, and production environments.
- Proficiency with UNIX and command-line tools, version control, and GitHub.
- Experience with cloud environments and Python GUI development.
- Experience with ontologies or XML and knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of compute clusters and workflow management.
