Business Applications Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in the UK (Hybrid: office-based Mon, Wed, Thu; remote Tue, Fri)

What you will do

• Act as the primary point of contact for business applications including Intercom, Aircall, Assembled, and MaestroQA.
• Design and implement AI-driven workflows and automations to improve internal processes.
• Respond to incidents, communicate impact, and resolve bugs in collaboration with application suppliers.
• Improve tooling, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the Business Applications team.
• Ensure secure and effective data storage and processing across all systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provision and support their application needs.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Proven experience in supporting business applications and processes.
• Practical experience building AI-assisted workflows or automations.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data security best practices.
• Experience with change management, testing, UAT, and release validation.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting CRM, ERP, or telephony systems like Aircall.
• Proficiency in SQL or Python scripting.
• Usage of low-code platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Workato.
• Familiarity with AWS and monitoring tools like Datadog.
