Lead Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for complex ML and software projects, balancing trade-offs and guiding priorities.
• Architect, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable ML and software systems from solution design through client-side deployment.
• Define project problems, create roadmaps, and oversee delivery across multiple workstreams in high-risk, ambiguous environments.
• Develop shared resources and libraries, and guide engineers contributing to them.
• Lead hiring, mentor multiple engineers, and establish development goals that improve client delivery.
• Act as a technical expert and coach for customers, estimating workstreams and explaining technical decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in Python and at least one compiled or strongly typed language such as Go, Java, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Experience building robust, production-grade systems and full-stack web applications.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud provider, such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing and coaching engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for working with technical teams, customers, and non-technical stakeholders.
