AEM Solutions Engineer (AEM)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $155,000–$152,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop AEM Sites components, templates, content fragments, OSGi services, Sling models, servlets, and Java backend logic.
• Build front-end experiences with HTL, JavaScript, and modern build tools.
• Implement headless and hybrid delivery using Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and edge delivery.
• Build and migrate AEM as a Cloud Service implementations with CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Develop AEM Assets workflows, DAM customizations, metadata schemas, and integrations with Adobe Experience Cloud and external systems.
• Optimize performance, caching, Dispatcher configuration, personalization, testing, and production reliability while collaborating with authors, designers, product owners, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Five or more years of AEM development experience; the position overview also specifies 6+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Deep expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, and HTL.
• Strong understanding of AEM author, publish, and Dispatcher architecture, with hands-on AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM 6.5 experience.
• Experience with Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, headless delivery, modern JavaScript, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance-tuning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Adobe Certified AEM Developer credentials.
• Experience with Edge Delivery Services and Franklin/HLX.
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform and multi-region or multi-brand AEM deployments.
• Experience integrating AEM with Magento or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
