Lead AEM Developer (Adobe Experience Manager)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with 2–3 days from the office. Working from abroad is available for up to 13 weeks per year.

What you will do

• Architect and oversee end-to-end Adobe Experience Manager solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Advise clients on Adobe Experience Cloud strategy and long-term implementation decisions.
• Identify and mitigate risks across third-party integrations, middleware, APIs, and legacy systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote continuous technical learning and best practices.
• Contribute to core development while maintaining a scalable, high-level view of the technical ecosystem.

Requirements

• Deep project and hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager, preferably AEM as a Cloud Service, and Adobe Commerce.
• Proficiency in Java, JCR, HTL, OSGi configurations, and React or Angular for headless CMS implementations.
• Practical experience with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and middleware integrations.
• Experience leading teams with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Ability to advise clients and teams on effective implementation approaches.
• Professional English proficiency at C1 level.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketing automation platforms.
• Adobe certifications such as Adobe Certified Expert or Adobe Certified Master.
