Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Manager (Test)

Location: On-site in Penang, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Own and support test manufacturing equipment through troubleshooting, repair, qualification, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Lead quality containment and excursion management, including defect verification, quality signal response, lot and hardware containment, disposition support, and corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and manage technicians responsible for manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure production schedules, safety standards, quality requirements, and operational readiness are maintained.
• Develop training and certification plans, supervise shift schedules and staffing coverage, and manage workstation assignments and rotations.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve factory health and operational issues while improving workflows and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of manufacturing operations or equipment management experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience, including the ability to repair and sustain machines hands-on.
• Proficiency in equipment monitoring, scheduling, and maintenance practices.
• Experience with manufacturing quality assurance, good manufacturing practices, and operational safety standards.
• Ability to develop training plans and manage team certifications.
• Ability to work on-site in Penang, Malaysia.
