TL;DR
Test and Evaluation Engineer II (PNT): Developing, executing, and evaluating classified and unclassified test programs for positioning, navigation, and timing products, supported clients, and platform integrations with an accent on MATLAB/Python-based system-performance analysis and DoD test documentation. Focus on conducting laboratory and field testing, identifying anomalies, preparing Test Incident Reports, and supporting cybersecurity, electromagnetic compatibility, integration, qualification, and stress-screening tests.

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States; Workplace: On-site

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

  • Develop, review, and execute classified and unclassified test programs, plans, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Conduct laboratory, field, component, subsystem, system-level, integration, qualification, environmental, and stress-screening tests for PNT products and platform integrations.
  • Collect, process, validate, and interpret test data using MATLAB, Python, and other analysis tools.
  • Produce quick-look assessments, identify anomalies, prepare Test Incident Reports, and provide recommendations for incident disposition and closure.
  • Prepare technical reports, findings, briefings, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Test Readiness Review materials, and program updates.
  • Participate in technical reviews, integrated product teams, working groups, system integration activities, risk management, scheduling, budgeting, and proposal support.

Requirements

  • Top Secret security clearance is required, with participation in classified meetings at the Secret and Top Secret levels as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least three years of experience testing Department of Defense systems or products, or a master’s degree in engineering and at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for scripting, data processing, visualization, or technical analysis.
  • Ability to support cybersecurity, electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic compatibility, and TEMPEST-related testing.
  • Ability to coordinate with government personnel, engineers, analysts, integrated product teams, and other program stakeholders.
