Lead AI Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead a small engineering team building ATLAS, a multi-agent orchestration platform for hirify.global's lending products.
• Define and implement AI platform architecture, production RAG pipelines, enterprise integrations, and API-driven connections to databases and external tools.
• Design memory layers, vector stores, knowledge graphs, GraphRAG retrieval, multi-agent protocols, handoffs, and shared state management.
• Build evaluation loops, logging, error-correction guardrails, monitoring, and observability for quality, safety, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Develop secure agent sandboxes, reproducible development environments, and controls for secrets, PII, data protection, and regulatory obligations.
• Standardise AI coding tools and mentor engineers in safe, effective AI-enabled development practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, MLOps, machine learning infrastructure, or data science.
• Experience designing and building agentic AI solutions involving tool use, workflow orchestration, routing, memory, and multi-agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
• Experience deploying AI systems to production with attention to scalability, cost optimisation, observability, security, and governance.
• Strong software engineering, architecture, machine learning lifecycle, model evaluation, monitoring, vector database, and inference optimisation experience.
• Working knowledge of AI safety standards including NIST AI Risk Framework and ISO 42001.
• Ability to communicate architectural risks clearly to cross-functional teams and lead technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agno or other open-source agent frameworks.
• Knowledge graph construction, GraphRAG, and graph database management experience.
• Experience in regulated fintech or a high-growth technology environment.
