What you will do
- Coach teams in analyzing and resolving software configuration and installation issues.
- Design and improve DevOps toolchains, continuous delivery workflows, and large-scale infrastructure automation.
- Build automation bridges between operations and development teams.
- Evaluate architectural tradeoffs involving cost, performance, reliability, and portability.
- Automate LAMP, Microsoft, WebSphere, and WebLogic stacks.
- Lead cross-functional DevOps teams toward self-organization and effective delivery.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, build automation, and software toolchains.
- Programming experience in a high-level language such as Java, Ruby, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or comparable configuration management tools, plus Jenkins, Hudson, or other CI tools.
- Experience with Git, Subversion, Artifactory, Nexus, test-driven development, testing frameworks, distributed systems, monitoring, networking, and security.
- Knowledge of cloud APIs and platforms including AWS, Azure, vSphere/vCloud, or OpenStack.
