Senior Action Officer (Congressional Liaison) (Defense and Congressional Affairs): Supporting AFLCMC commanders and senior leaders by analyzing legislative activity, coordinating Congressional inquiries and visits, and preparing briefings, reports, and executive-level responses with an accent on Congressional liaison, defense acquisition, and mission support. Focus on analyzing NDAA and funding impacts, developing courses of action, coordinating cross-directorate task responses, and delivering accurate information to senior leadership.

What you will do
- Support the AFLCMC Commander and senior leaders on critical legislative and Congressional affairs issues.
- Analyze public laws, Congressional records, databases, NDAA approvals, and funding actions to identify impacts on AFLCMC.
- Coordinate Congressional inquiries, formal responses, visits, briefings, tours, meetings, and executive-level communications.
- Develop briefings, reports, analyses, task responses, and recommended Courses of Action for Center Command Staff.
- Coordinate TMT task assignments and responses across Mission Support and Execution Directorates, ensuring quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, database reports, graphs, and briefing materials using standard USAF office automation tools, SharePoint, NIPRNET, and SIPRNET.
Requirements
- Active or current Secret clearance required.
- Master’s or doctorate degree in a related field plus 10 years of relevant technical or professional experience, including 5 years in the DoW/DoD; or a bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoW/DoD.
- Alternatively, 15 years of directly related experience with the required certifications, including 8 years in the DoD.
- Experience must support legislative analysis, Congressional affairs, executive briefings, task coordination, and defense mission requirements.
