Director of Congressional Affairs (Space)

Location: Must be based in the Washington, DC area (Rosslyn, VA), with regular travel to hirify.global headquarters in Torrance, California, and other locations as needed. The role requires access to ITAR-controlled information and items; the successful candidate must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.

Salary: $190,000–$270,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and sustain relationships with the House and Senate Armed Services Committees, Defense Appropriations subcommittees, Intelligence Committees, congressional offices, and committee staff.
• Develop and execute strategies supporting hirify.global legislative and policy priorities.
• Prepare and staff senior executives for congressional meetings, hearings, and site visits.
• Monitor legislative and appropriations activity and brief company leadership on relevant developments and opportunities.
• Represent hirify.global at hearings, meetings, political fundraisers, and other stakeholder events; register as a federal lobbyist.
• Manage the hirify.global PAC, including solicitation campaigns, contribution strategy, and monthly FEC filings, while coordinating with the broader Strategy team.

Requirements

• 7–12+ years of congressional affairs experience, predominantly on Capitol Hill.
• Established relationships with congressional offices and staff on both sides of the aisle.
• Meaningful experience with defense and/or space issues.
• Willingness to register as a lobbyist.
• Current TS/SCI security clearance, or a previously held clearance with eligibility to obtain it again.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Military, Pentagon, or Intelligence Community experience.
• Experience with lobbying, industry association advocacy, or congressional affairs in a government agency.
