Video Production Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid, Chicago - 550 Van Buren; must be based in the Chicagoland area to manage daily headquarters studio operations. Travel within the U.S. is required for approximately 25% of the year.

Estimated base salary: $105,000–$145,000 per year. Estimated total compensation including annual incentive opportunity: $126,000–$174,000.

What you will do

• Lead video productions end to end, including client intake, creative scoping, production planning, capture, post-production coordination, and delivery.
• Operate cameras and manage lighting and audio for studio, field, interview, b-roll, event, and live productions.
• Direct executives, subject-matter experts, and on-camera hosts while producing quarterly company broadcasts and recurring executive and short-form content.
• Run the Chicago studio’s daily operations, calendar, equipment, media library, releases, production standards, and performance metrics.
• Lead the Video Center of Excellence team, coordinate freelance crews and vendors, manage budgets, and develop staff and freelancers.
• Partner with Marketing & Communications to align video production with enterprise goals and optimize tools, workflows, and production capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 6 years of professional video production experience in an agency, in-house creative team, production company, or broadcast environment.
• Demonstrated ability to run productions from planning through capture and delivery.
• Strong hands-on camera skills with professional cinema or mirrorless systems, including multi-camera setups; Sony FX-series experience is preferred within the qualification.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with Premiere Pro and Audition required at minimum.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows and video creation tools such as Firefly and Higgsfield.
• Ability to lead client-facing planning calls, direct executives, and troubleshoot on site.
• Ability to lead a small, distributed team and manage concurrent productions, talent, crew, locations, equipment, budgets, and deadlines.
• Must be based in the Chicagoland area; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year are required.

Nice to have

• After Effects and Photoshop experience.
• Experience producing for a professional services, B2B, or enterprise brand.
• Experience launching or scaling an in-house studio.
• Experience with tools such as Wrike and Frame.io.
