TL;DR
Software Intern (HDD Firmware): Developing HDD SelfTest firmware and test platforms in C and Python with an accent on embedded firmware architecture, process performance, and product quality. Focus on troubleshooting and debugging SelfTest issues, analyzing storage data, and improving product yield and test time with cross-functional teams.

Location: Wuxi, China. Travel: None.

hirify.global develops and manufactures data storage solutions; the Wuxi site supports technical services, customer testing, manufacturing, and related operations.

What you will do

  • Develop HDD firmware and the SelfTest platform using C and Python.
  • Improve the performance of the HDD SelfTest process.
  • Analyze and resolve issues during the HDD SelfTest process with DC and factory teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve product yield, test time, and quality performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in science or engineering.
  • Good understanding of embedded firmware and software architecture.
  • Experience programming in C and Python.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, design, and debug software and firmware.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and processing and storage systems.
  • Fluent English and effective verbal and written communication skills.
