Specialist Civil Structural Engineer – Offshore Water Injection Project

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; based in the UAE, with relocation to the Spain office and subsequent return to Abu Dhabi

What you will do

• Lead civil and structural engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.
• Design and analyze offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, water injection modules, pipe racks, equipment foundations, access structures, helidecks, and crane foundations.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and material requisitions against API, AISC, ISO, DNV, Eurocodes, and company requirements.
• Evaluate structural effects of pumps, pressure vessels, pipelines, and water injection equipment under static, dynamic, fatigue, seismic, transportation, lifting, and installation loads.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, marine, construction, and installation disciplines during design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Support fabrication, offshore installation, inspections, commissioning, handover, structural integrity assessments, corrosion mitigation, and corrective actions for non-conformances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 15–18+ years of civil and structural engineering experience.
• Significant experience in offshore oil and gas, water injection, brownfield modifications, or offshore platform projects.
• Experience across FEED, EPC, and offshore construction phases.
• Experience with SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, GTSTRUDL, or SAP2000.
• Knowledge of API RP 2A, DNV offshore standards, AISC steel design codes, ISO offshore structural requirements, and offshore installation analyses.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification.
• Experience working on offshore assets in the Middle East.
