Materials Engineer (Electronic Components)

What you will do

• Improve the quality of supplier piece-parts within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Evaluate alternative materials and suppliers to maintain quality, supply assurance, and competitive pricing.
• Provide technical support for new product introduction and product transfer activities.
• Interpret specifications, review documentation, disposition non-conforming materials, and train users on inspection measuring equipment.
• Plan inspection and test requirements, analyze quality data, and follow up on supplier quality issues.
• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and assist manufacturing with material-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
• Resourcefulness, attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and work effectively under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
