TL;DR
Specialist Piping Engineer (Offshore Water Injection): Leading piping engineering for offshore water injection facilities across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and brownfield modifications with an accent on piping design, stress analysis, materials and corrosion management. Focus on routing and tie-in engineering, resolving integration challenges in existing offshore infrastructure, and supporting safe installation, testing, and startup.
Location: Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; relocation to a Spain office is required during the assignment before returning to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do
- Lead piping design and engineering for offshore water injection, produced water, utility, and process piping systems.
- Develop and review piping specifications, material classes, datasheets, layouts, isometrics, 3D models, and design philosophies.
- Review stress, flexibility, vibration, hydraulic, routing, pipe support, and expansion assessments.
- Conduct offshore surveys and brownfield assessments, developing tie-in strategies, modification plans, shutdown plans, and SIMOPS support.
- Coordinate piping interfaces with process, mechanical, structural, instrumentation, electrical, operations, construction, and design teams.
- Support procurement, vendor reviews, fabrication, installation, hydrotesting, commissioning, startup, NCR resolution, and system readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- 15–18 years of piping engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 5 years in offshore brownfield EPC projects.
- Experience across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Strong knowledge of offshore water injection, produced water, utilities, process piping, tie-in engineering, material selection, and constructability.
- Experience with ASME, API, ASTM, NACE, ISO, ADNOC, and applicable Shell DEP standards.
- Experience with CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, AVEVA E3D, SP3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, SmartPlant Review, and MS Office.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional certification.
- ADNOC Offshore and Middle East project experience.
- Experience with offshore islands, platforms, and shutdown or tie-in projects.
