What you will do
- Schedule maintenance work and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Diagnose failures involving valves, actuators, sensors, heaters, ovens, pumps, chemical purification equipment, glove boxes, and PLC interfaces.
- Identify required spare parts and maintain preventive-maintenance manuals and replacement-part documentation.
- Maintain orderly maintenance records and equipment files for future reference.
- Promote safe working conditions, follow department safety procedures, and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- 3β5 years of related maintenance or equipment experience.
- College degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; equivalent related experience may be considered.
- Experience installing and maintaining equipment, with demonstrated mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read equipment layouts, P&IDs, engineering drawings, control drawings, electrical schematics, and machined-part drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Keyence, or Siemens systems, as well as industrial sensors.
- Ability to diagnose equipment faults and programming errors and communicate effectively with machine vendors.
