Software Developer in Test (SDET)

Location: Fully remote, located in Colombia

What you will do

• Embed quality practices across the SaaS platform development lifecycle through tooling, automation, infrastructure, reporting, and testing standards.
• Apply testing strategies across the test pyramid, shifting appropriate validation from UI tests toward unit, integration, API contract, and other lower-level testing.
• Improve CI/CD and E2E testing workflows through better test data setup, test isolation, execution reliability, and actionable failure signals.
• Support functional testing from roadmap definition through delivery, including AI-powered testing capabilities and AI test harnesses.
• Track quality and DORA-related KPIs such as coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, flakiness, regression rates, and execution health.
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders, coach teams, and promote a quality-first, AI-first engineering culture.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in quality engineering teams within modern SaaS or cloud-native platform organizations, preferably with AWS.
• Experience scaling automated testing infrastructure and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Workflows.
• Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across unit, integration, API contract, and E2E testing, including Cypress, Pact, and K6.
• Front-end testing fluency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with observability practices, test signal improvement, and pipeline feedback loops.
• Strong communication, coaching, collaboration, and testing initiative leadership skills for distributed teams across multiple regions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zephyr Scale and on-premise CI/CD systems.
• Knowledge of AI-powered testing tools such as CoPilot, Devin, and Claude.
