Compliance Officer (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL; in-office 3 days per week

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, plus a discretionary performance bonus of 8–12% of base salary.

What you will do

• Monitor compliance with CFTC regulations, NFA rules, and internal policies for retail forex operations.
• Advise business partners on existing and new products and services.
• Maintain firm registration and track AP licensing requirements.
• Support responses to NFA and CFTC inquiries, audits, and examinations, including document coordination.
• Review marketing materials and customer communications for regulatory compliance.
• Deliver compliance training and supervise customer due diligence, suspicious activity monitoring, SAR filings, and complaint handling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of compliance experience in retail forex, futures, derivatives, or securities.
• Working knowledge of CFTC regulations and NFA rules applicable to RFEDs, FCMs, and Forex Dealer Members.
• Strong understanding of AML and BSA requirements in financial services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for regulatory correspondence and policy drafting.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with trading, operations, IT, and legal teams; Series 3 and Series 34 licensure are strongly preferred.
