TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (AI Medical Devices): Coordinating end-to-end execution of AI-enabled medical-device programs across research, engineering, systems engineering, product, quality, regulatory, and clinical teams with an accent on integrated planning, design controls, and regulatory readiness. Focus on synchronizing model development, verification and validation, launch, change management, and post-market activities.

Location: Remote, USA; applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada or the USA at the time of hire

Base salary: 170,000–200,000 in local currency, depending on experience and geographic location

What you will do

  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, milestones, and progress tracking for multiple AI-enabled medical-device programs.
  • Align AI/ML engineering, systems engineering, product, regulatory, quality, and clinical operations deliverables.
  • Manage program documentation in Jira and other tools, including design-control and regulatory deliverables.
  • Support regulatory submission readiness for FDA 510(k), IDE, and Health Canada pathways.
  • Plan and execute design-control reviews, status reporting, risk tracking, and dependency management.
  • Identify process gaps and improve collaboration, documentation flow, and delivery efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, engineering program management, medical-device development, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with regulated medical devices, Software as a Medical Device, digital health, or regulated clinical technology.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary programs from development through verification, validation, and launch.
  • Technical fluency when collaborating with software engineers, systems engineers, AI/ML researchers, and technical product leaders.
  • Understanding of machine-learning concepts including datasets, model performance, validation, inference, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada or the USA without current or future employer visa sponsorship, plus knowledge of design controls, risk management, change control, and post-market processes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled medical devices or SaMD.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62304.
  • Experience coordinating clinical validation or clinical-performance evaluation.
  • Strong program-planning, dependency-management, risk-management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment where scalable processes are still being built.
