Staff Engineer

Salary: $126,490.00–$171,134.00 per year

What you will do

• Translate customer needs into scalable, long-term technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards and strategic goals.
• Design software systems, integration patterns, application specifications, and engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Develop architecturally impactful components, define development frameworks and libraries, and recommend technology improvements.
• Set product and platform technology strategy, including critical-path design and technology roadmaps.
• Lead critical-incident resolution, improve system stability and resilience, and expand CI/CD practices.
• Evaluate software vendors and advise on platform selection, business impact, and implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering environments, developing detailed software engineering plans from abstract concepts.
• Experience architecting solutions with performance SLOs, high availability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies.
• Experience managing large-scale projects and communicating complex technical concepts to broad audiences and senior management.
• Strong critical thinking, technical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring team members.
