TL;DR
Accounting Manager (GAAP/Consolidations): Leading month-end and year-end close, management reporting, intercompany accounting, cash forecasting, and accounting team supervision with an accent on GAAP-compliant reporting, GL integrity, and internal controls. Focus on analyzing financial variances, resolving issues across global entities, and driving accounting process automation and scalability.
Location: Brazil; candidates must be located in Latin America. 100% remote work.

What you will do
- Own month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities and ensure accurate, timely, GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, recurring close entries, and financial results.
- Oversee general ledger and balance sheet integrity across multiple legal entities, including fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations, amortization, depreciation, and P&L drivers.
- Lead intercompany accounting, consolidations, reconciliations, settlements, and issue resolution across global entities.
- Develop cash forecasts and partner with FP&A, Client Finance, In-Brand Finance, and Shared Services teams.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff while leading internal controls, audit support, reporting, and process automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years directly managing an accounting team.
- Experience with consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB, SEC accounting and disclosure requirements, account reconciliation, and GL analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables; ERP or accounting software experience is preferred.
- Must be located in Latin America and have fluent English.
Nice to have
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Maconomy, NetSuite, Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or other large ERP and accounting systems.
