Senior Accountant (Sage Intacct)

Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the U.S.; occasional onsite travel may be required based on business and management needs.

What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and audit-ready financial reporting.
• Manage client engagements and provide data-driven financial advice, forecasts, management reports, and fractional Controller-level support.
• Lead client onboarding, Sage Intacct implementations, accounting system migrations, and workflow automation initiatives.
• Use Sage Intacct, FloQast, and QuickBooks Online to improve financial reporting, reconciliation, close management, and operational efficiency.
• Support payroll processing, sales tax filings, audits, financial controls, and compliance documentation.
• Mentor Staff Accountants, review their work, and collaborate with sales, account management, operations, and finance teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience as a Senior Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant, or Senior Controller, preferably in outsourced accounting, advisory services, or a CPA firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; 12+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required, including core financial modules, financial reporting, multi-entity environments, and advanced workflows.
• Experience with FloQast is required for close management, reconciliation tracking, and workflow automation.
• Strong expertise in multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, payroll, sales tax filings, financial audits, and analytical problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, outsourced accounting, or financial consulting.
• Familiarity with ERP implementations and financial technology integrations.
• Experience in client-facing financial advisory roles.
