TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (RF/SDR): Designing, developing, testing, and supporting electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems for military aircraft products with an accent on PCB design, DSP solutions, manufacturing support, and product lifecycle management. Focus on developing verification plans, resolving production and field hardware issues, and evaluating RF and Software Defined Radio architectures.

Location: Onsite in Mineral Wells, Texas, United States

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 annually

What you will do

  • Design, develop, analyze, and support electrical and electronic circuits, assemblies, and systems for new and existing products.
  • Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
  • Review customer requirements and develop electrical design concepts meeting performance, cost, schedule, and reliability goals.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and designers on system-level hardware requirements.
  • Support PCB design, component selection, layout reviews, design validation, test planning, and verification.
  • Investigate production, manufacturing, and field issues; support configuration management, obsolescence management, and DFM improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of electrical engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design software such as Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics, electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and signal integrity.
  • Experience developing and validating DSP solutions on embedded processors, FPGAs, SoCs, or specialized DSP hardware.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of RF engineering principles, including signal propagation, spectrum management, noise analysis, link budgets, and RF performance characterization.
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio architectures, development, integration, and testing.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, GNU Radio, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
