Lead Software Engineer (Gen AI)

Location: Chicago, Peoria, or Irving, United States. The position is based out of one of these offices. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy generative AI assistants, AI-infused processing pipelines, tooling, and software using Python, Go, and object-oriented programming.
• Design and implement Gen AI architectures, including multi-agent systems, tool integration, context management, MCP, and long-term memory.
• Build FastAPI services and deploy software on AWS using CloudFormation, SageMaker Studio, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Develop services and components for edge devices and collaborate with data scientists to productionize scalable analytics solutions.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and support machine learning and AI pipelines using Apache Airflow.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience and strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing applications in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with software architecture, product design, testing strategies, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with FastAPI, LangGraph, LangChain, Git, GitHub Actions, and AWS services.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and coordination skills for large, complex, cross-functional projects.
