Threat Detection & Response Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Research emerging AI-era threats, including AI-enabled attacks, prompt injection, and model misuse.
• Build, test, and refine detection-and-response capabilities integrated with security tooling and analyst workflows.
• Develop and evaluate defensive prototypes and document successful approaches as technical specifications.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence, detection engineering, data science, AI/ML, and platform teams to move prototypes toward production.
• Communicate research findings and technical work clearly to teammates and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related technical field, including exposure to threat detection and response.
• Experience contributing to technical systems that reached production.
• Familiarity with security tooling, operational workflows, AI/ML concepts, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a security-related discipline.
• Exposure to AI/ML security, adversarial ML, AI-enabled attacks, or the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with EDR, XDR, SIEM, or SOAR tooling.
• Experience with data-processing systems or AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
• Security certification such as Security+, GCIH, or OSCP, or experience in research and development.
