Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires travel of up to 25% and the willingness to work overtime or weekends during critical mission milestones.

Salary: $120,000–$194,000 USD per year in California.

Company

hirify.global develops next-generation commercial space stations, including the Haven station, to enable continuous human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and a new space economy.

What you will do

  • Design and implement tooling and fixture solutions across Haven-1 integration campaigns.
  • Develop design-for-manufacturing requirements, work instructions, test procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Evaluate nonconformances, determine root causes, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with design engineering, supply chain, mission management, and other partner teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • At least 2 years of related engineering experience, including experience building, assembling, integrating, or testing complex assemblies and systems.
  • Experience working hands-on with hardware, technicians, and multi-person operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading teams, projects, or people.
  • Experience with work instructions, test plans, procedures, configuration management, PFMEA, and root-cause/corrective-action methods.
  • Due to U.S. export-control requirements, the hire must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed-export licensing. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted is also required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Epsilon3 and Python environments.
  • Experience with GD&T, complex tolerance stack-ups, mechanical design and analysis, and Siemens NX/Teamcenter or similar PLM tools.
  • Experience making go/no-go judgments, planning vehicle-level verification, and working with leak checks or environmental tests.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with limited information in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time exempt employment with company equity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • Paid time off, vacation with annual cash-out options, and paid parental leave.
  • Short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
  • ClassPass credits, personalized mental healthcare, discounts, and subsidized or complimentary food and beverages onsite.
