Advancement Solution Architect (Salesforce)

Location: United States — Remote; must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Periodic travel may be required based on business and client needs.

Salary: $175,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead Salesforce implementation engagements for university advancement and nonprofit fundraising clients from discovery through production support.
• Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, delivery scope, and scalable functional and technical solutions.
• Oversee Salesforce configuration, integrations, data architecture, sprint planning, testing, deployment, and overall solution quality.
• Design enterprise-level Salesforce and related technology solutions, including logical data models and functional system designs.
• Advise clients and stakeholders on best practices, tradeoffs, risks, delivery challenges, and product growth opportunities.
• Support adoption, training, documentation, knowledge transfer, proposals, pilots, proofs of concept, and reusable delivery assets.

Requirements

• Deep functional and technical expertise in Salesforce configuration, data models, security, automation, reporting, integrations, and deployment.
• Experience delivering enterprise Salesforce projects through full software development life cycles using waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Strong requirements gathering, business analysis, discovery workshop facilitation, process documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing, and platform development patterns.
• Expertise in environment and release management, code versioning, deployment methodologies, and Salesforce integrations with business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree and Salesforce Admin Certification required; authorization to work for any U.S. employer required.

Nice to have

• 5–8 years of Salesforce configuration and CRM implementation experience or 6+ years of software development life-cycle experience.
• Experience with Kindsight Ascend, Affinaquest, Grants Management, or Foundation Connect.
• Higher Education or Nonprofit Cloud certifications.
• Project management, team management, data management, CRM quality assurance, sales, or business development experience.
