QA Fabrication Technician (Optical Fabrication)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; onsite at the facility.

Salary: $21.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Perform optical fabrication processes for simple to medium-difficulty parts.
• Carry out beveling, blocking, edging, milling, sawing, continuous grinding, and double-sided grinding.
• Select appropriate tooling for standard and wax blocking operations.
• Assist with lap pouring when needed.
• Inspect and clean optical parts.
• Read work instructions and prints, calculate basic dimensions, and perform precision measurements.

Requirements

• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to work effectively and contribute as part of a team.
• Ability to use calipers, drop gauges, micrometers, comparators, a measuring microscope, and a spherometer.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No previous experience is required; fabrication experience is preferred.
• Work involves information subject to ITAR regulations. Visa sponsorship is not available.
