Claims Specialist (Bilingual English/French)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Salary: $58,000–$68,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

hirify.global operates a car-sharing marketplace connecting Guests with Hosts across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and France.

What you will do

• Provide customer service to hirify.global Hosts and Guests.
• Investigate and process auto claims filed by Hosts and Guests.
• Assist members with self-resolution and coordinate claims processing with a third-party administrator.
• Collect amounts due from Guests and maintain complete claim documentation.
• Contribute to improvements in claims-handling processes, customer service, and cost management.

Requirements

• Must reside in Toronto, Ontario.
• Fluency in French and English is required.
• At least one year of auto claims handling experience is preferred; entry-level candidates with strong customer service experience and an interest in automotive are encouraged to apply.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Proficiency with CRM, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and claims management systems, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Nice to have

• Experience balancing solutions for Hosts, Guests, third parties, and internal teams in a two-sided marketplace.
• Experience with a major auto insurance carrier or car rental company.
