Engineering Specialist IV

Location: Woodlands, Singapore. Onsite work in a high-tech cleanroom environment; no travel required. The role may transition from a normal weekday shift to a 12-hour shift, including nights and weekends, based on operational needs.

What you will do

• Assemble, align, and integrate mechanical and electrical subsystems using schematics and build instructions.
• Install vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, control panels, and other sputtering equipment components.
• Perform functional and quality checks during and after equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot and rework basic mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Support equipment installation, conversions, upgrades, and reliability improvements with engineering teams.
• Follow safety and cleanroom standards while taking responsibility for assigned work.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with torque wrenches, multimeters, and vacuum gauges.
• Willingness to work in a structured manufacturing cleanroom and transition to 12-hour shifts when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with equipment assembly or mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with sputter PVD equipment.
• Experience working with vacuum systems and in cleanroom environments.
