Senior Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: US, Remote

Salary: $202,190–$273,551 annually, plus equity in the form of stock options.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity company developing NodeZero, a platform for production-safe autonomous penetration testing and security assessment operations.

What you will do

• Own the security controls integration platform and abstract EDR ecosystem complexity from the wider product.
• Design and build dedicated normalizers for EDR vendors, including testing for evolving vendor APIs.
• Develop ETL pipelines and GraphQL APIs for data processing, retrieval, and interaction between product components.
• Define internal schemas and manage versioning, deprecations, fault tolerance, and integration health monitoring.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to present data clearly and improve the user experience.
• Contribute to cross-cutting backend scalability, production infrastructure, and reliability initiatives while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern object-oriented or functional languages such as Python, Java, Go, Scala, C++, or TypeScript.
• Deep experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations at scale.
• Hands-on familiarity with EDR platforms and how SOC teams consume EDR data.
• Experience with GraphQL backends, ETL, expert-level SQL, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and graph databases such as Neo4j.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to manage production infrastructure, document technical work, collaborate effectively, and mentor engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building platform capabilities for internal engineering teams.
