Crime & Regulatory Paralegal

What you will do

• Support a Lead Lawyer or Partner on criminal, regulatory, motor crime, and inquest matters.
• Attend conferences, hearings, inquests, and case strategy meetings.
• Prepare hearing papers, bundles, chronologies, document reviews, and other case documentation.
• Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation.
• Liaise with courts, barristers, clients, experts, and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate complex cases, record key decisions and action points, and track important deadlines.

Requirements

• Law or Criminology degree.
• Legal work experience, placement experience, or previous paralegal experience is suitable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Confident diary management and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to liaise professionally with courts, counsel’s clerks, clients, experts, and regulators.
• Curiosity, motivation, proactivity, and interest in developing a career in Crime & Regulatory law.
