What you will do

• Build relationships with Chinese journalists, media organisations, influencers, creators and relevant communities.
• Identify compelling stories and position hirify.global, its speakers, partners, investors and startups within Chinese-speaking media markets.
• Coordinate media opportunities, interviews, press conferences, announcements and event attendance.
• Manage Chinese-language content across WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, Douyin, Bilibili and other relevant channels.
• Own content stages and tracks, developing expertise in the media outlets and individuals covering them.
• Plan and execute coverage strategies while using AI, data tools and Salesforce to manage work and records.

Requirements

• Native Mandarin speaker with fluent, confident communication in Mandarin and English.
• Strong understanding of the Chinese media landscape and Chinese technology and business ecosystem.
• Experience with Chinese social media platforms and Chinese-language posts, short-form video concepts, social campaigns and editorial content.
• Previous experience working with media as a journalist or in relevant PR or marketing functions.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, strategic planning and news judgement skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and deliver under tight deadlines and pressure.
