Summer 2027 Intern - Investments - Mortgage/Real Estate

Location: Hybrid work at the hirify.global CityLine campus in Richardson, Texas, with a combination of in-office and work-from-home arrangements based on internship and business requirements.

Salary: $33.00/hour based on a 38.75-hour work week, plus a $2,000 stipend payable upon starting the internship.

What you will do

• Support investment origination, due diligence, and financial modeling for commercial mortgage loans and real estate equity portfolios.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior leadership for selection and approval.
• Contribute to annual loan reviews, risk ratings, property performance evaluations, and asset management activities.
• Analyze economic data, local market research, property comparables, and tenant financial information for valuations and investment decisions.
• Complete special projects across mortgage loans, real estate equity, and REIT investments.
• Participate in on-site property inspections and due diligence with real estate owners, developers, brokers, and hirify.global professionals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college and scheduled to complete the junior year before the internship begins.
• Coursework, relevant experience, or demonstrated interest in real estate, investments, accounting, financial statement analysis, economics, or corporate finance.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, risk-assessment, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently, managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
• Available for the internship from June 2, 2027, through August 11, 2027.

• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
