Senior Platform Architect (PaaS)

What you will do

• Design and evolve PaaS and platform services used across the engineering environment.
• Shape developer platforms, containerised workloads, compute platforms, and shared services.
• Make architectural decisions close to engineering rather than focusing solely on governance.
• Define and improve automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and the underlying technologies for software delivery at scale.
• Work closely with engineering teams and provide independent technical judgement.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Platform Architect, Principal Architect, Principal Engineer, or in a similar senior technical role.
• Strong experience designing PaaS and platform services for large engineering or development populations.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, developer platforms, CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and shared platform services.
• Understanding of IaaS, including compute, networking, storage, cloud, and security.
• Experience in complex engineering environments and designing platforms at significant scale.

Nice to have

• Background in quantitative trading firms, hedge funds, FinTech, large-scale technology organisations, hyperscalers, or organisations running significant internal developer or application platforms.
