What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy scalable core infrastructure for big data platforms.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and application deployments with a focus on resilience.
• Automate system maintenance, patching, and auditing processes using tools like Ansible.
• Collaborate with customers to define hardware and software requirements.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of data lake services.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the security team.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for DV Security Clearance and have lived in the UK for 10+ years.
• Strong experience in Linux system administration.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes administration and application development.
• Experience with distributed storage systems such as Ceph.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and automation (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.

Nice to have

• Experience with Big Data stacks including Trino, Spark, Apache Hive, or Apache Airflow.
• Knowledge of Zeppelin notebooks.
